Sara is a healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience with some of the top healthcare systems in the country. She has academic and practical mastery of a broad range of healthcare administrative disciplines, including practice management and new patient access strategies, service line development and optimization, and physician alignment and integration. Sara routinely assembles and leads high-functioning, multidisciplinary teams to achieve critical organizational goals and is passionate about improving healthcare delivery in a holistic and inclusive manner.
Prior to joining ECG, Sara held leadership roles at several academic medical centers, most recently as senior adviser and chief of staff to the CEO of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, a U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospital. In this capacity, Sara led key strategic initiatives on the CEO’s behalf, including coordinating the organization’s COVID‑19 response efforts and developing a campus retail strategy, resulting in enhanced retail options and an increase in passive revenue of $2 million per year. Sara also spent six years designing, building, and leading cardiovascular service lines within complex academic environments. As a system service line administrator at Rush, Sara led major change initiatives, which resulted in an increase in market share from 12th to 3rd, along with significant procedural volume growth and enhanced contribution margins.
