Catherine is a seasoned leader in surgical services and an expert in the development, administration, and operations of ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs). Through her extensive experience in accreditation, licensing, and regulatory compliance, Catherine offers clients unmatched expertise and thought leadership at a time when care is increasingly shifting to the outpatient setting. Catherine has spent more than 30 years in surgical services nursing and management, 16 of which have been primarily focused on ASC development, management, and operations.
Before coming to ECG, Catherine was an executive director of ASC operations at Proliance Surgeons, where she collaborated with executives and provided leadership to the directors of its 22 orthopedic and multispecialty ASCs. In this role, Catherine was responsible for ASC development, operations, Medicare certification, licensure, and accreditation. Previously, she served as executive director of Proliance Highlands Surgery Center, an orthopedic practice and ASC; Overlake Surgery Center; and Redmond Surgery Center, during which time she oversaw the budget, inventory, and revenue cycle; investigated root cause analyses; implemented improvement interventions; ensured ASC regulatory compliance and current credentialing and privileging of licensed independent practitioners; and facilitated monthly board meetings. Before that, Catherine was a director at Proliance Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and she held various clinical and management roles at Children’s Hospital in Seattle.
